Baby Boone, July 2017

So exciting to shoot sweet little Boone and his big sister, Beckley. Aren’t they just so cute!?

I just love newborn photography, especially when I have the joy of incorporating older siblings. It is definitely never boring! I like to always tell clients that I’m not judging if their toddler-aged child wants to roll a car on the newborn’s head, or if the older kiddo is scared out of her mind at the baby. These things are totally normal and frequently “challenges” that I embrace as I capture the real-life, brand-new relationship between siblings. Often the older sibling will “act out” during teh shoot and I can feel the tension among the parents rising. This is when I say, “THIS IS TOTALLY NORMAL AND I SEE IT ALL THE TIME.”

Newborn shoots with older siblings (especially if the older one is still little!) are always difficult in some ways, and I like it that way. Parents, please know I appreciate the real-life, unavoidable dynamic of adding a human being to an already established family culture! I am full of grace and admiration for you! I feel honored to finesse my way through it!

Sweet Miss Anna Kate

So exciting to shoot this adorable little one after her Mama’s maternity shoot back in the fall, and her newborn shoot at the beginning of the year. It’s crazy how quickly they grow! She is growing in to the most adorable, happy, smily Little Lady. I just love my job, y’all.nashville children's photographynashville children's photographychildren's photography nashvillechildren's photography wilson county tnchildren's photographer old hickory tnchildren's photography old hickory tnfamily photographer old hickory tnfamily photographer wilson county tnfamily photography wilson co tnwilson county tn photographer

If you are in the market for children’s or family photography, give me a shout!

Rockstar Academy of Dance

The Rockstar Academy of Dance 2014 recital photos are done and UP! Here’s a link to the gallery:

This year, because we know our clients love having their photos forever in digital form, we’ve added the option to purchase the full-res digital images of your child in addition to prints. Do do this, select the photo(s) you wish to purchase, then click “buy selected”. Then just click on “downloads” and select the digital file.

And, while we’re on the subject, for all our clients, all the time, every day, we GIVE the option to download all the full-res digital files from our shoots for free. So if you’re in the market for a family photographer, our current rate is $200 for a basic lifestyle shoot, which includes your images for free.

Have fun at recital!

Please note that the pictures are in the order they are taken, not necessarily in order of dance. If your child’s picture isn’t with his/her class, remember whether or not the photo was taken with the others or before/after.

Thank you! And Enjoy!

Sometimes candid photos are the best, don’t you think? Children’s photography is often about capturing the candid moments while you’re with a child. That’s how you get pictures of their personality. Those are pictures the family will cherish forever, that they will look at years down the road and still see the child’s, now grown up, personality in.

I’m so glad this is my job.

If you need a Nashville children’s photographer, please don’t hesitate to shoot me an email to set something up!
